Product FAQ
Is it recommended to install the fireplace myself?
It is highly recommended to have a certified professional install all units. Warranty coverage does not extend to issues that arise from improper installation.
Does the product operate during a power outage
Yes, many of our appliances can function during a power outage. Consult your local dealer for more details.
What differentiates Millivolt from electronic ignition fireplaces?
Millivolt fireplaces operate using electricity generated by a standing pilot light. In contrast, electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source, which may be house or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with this unit
This product is designed for operation with millivolts or low voltage. Most Wi-Fi thermostats use 24 volts and are hence not compatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
Your model and serial number can be found on a rating plate attached to the appliance's valve.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
- Fireplaces are built for installation in framed openings with specific clearance requirements.
- Fireboxes are similar to fireplaces but require additional components like a burner and log set.
- Inserts fit into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet specific construction standards.
How can I determine the age of my unit
The serial number on your rating plate indicates the age of your unit. The first two digits represent the year of manufacture, while the following digits specify the week it was built.
