FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
We highly recommend that a certified professional installs all of our units to avoid issues that may void your warranty.
Does our product work during a power outage
Yes, most of our appliances can operate during a power outage; please consult your local dealer for specifics.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces use electricity from a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces need a power source, which can be either house voltage or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units are designed for millivolt or low voltage operations, and most Wi-Fi thermostats operate at 24 volts, making them incompatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
The rating plate attached to the valve of your appliance contains the model and serial number information.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox and an insert
Fireplaces are built to fit into framed openings with specific clearance requirements. Fireboxes are similar but require a burner and logs. Inserts are meant for installation into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet safety standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
You can determine the unit's age by checking the serial number on the rating plate; the first two digits indicate the year of manufacture, while the next two specify the week of that year.
