Product FAQs
Can I purchase a fireplace online and install it myself?
A certified professional installation is strongly recommended for all our units. Warranty coverage does not extend to issues stemming from improper installation.
Does the product operate during a power outage?
Yes, many of our appliances can function in power outage situations. Contact a local dealer for further information.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces?
Millivolt fireplaces rely on the electricity generated by a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source, which may be house or battery voltage.
Can a Wi-Fi thermostat be used with my unit?
Our units operate using millivolt or low voltage, and most Wi-Fi thermostats require 24 volts, making them incompatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number?
Your appliance's rating plate, attached to the valve, contains the model and serial number information.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert?
Fireplaces are built to be installed in a framed opening. Fireboxes serve a similar purpose but require a burner and logs for completion. Inserts are designed to fit into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
How can I determine the age of my unit?
Locate the rating plate; the first two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture, while the next two digits signify the production week of that year.
