Product FAQs
- Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself? We recommend hiring a certified professional for installation. Issues from improper installation are not covered under warranty.
- Does our product work during a power outage? Yes, most of our appliances can function during a power outage. Please consult your local dealer for details.
- What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces? Millivolt fireplaces operate using electricity generated by a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces need a power source, which can be house or battery voltage.
- Can I use a Wi-Fi Thermostat with my unit? Our units operate using millivolts or low voltage, meaning most Wi-Fi thermostats, typically operating at 24 volts, are not compatible.
- Where can I find my model and serial number? The rating plate attached to your appliance's valve contains both model and serial number information.
- What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert? Fireplaces are installed into framed openings, fireboxes need a burner and logs, while inserts are designed for installation into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
- Can you tell me how old my unit is? The first two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture, while the next two numbers denote the week of that year when it was built.
