Product FAQs
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
It is advisable to have a certified professional install all of our units to ensure quality and safety. Issues due to improper installation may not be covered under warranty.
Does our product work during a power outage
Many of our appliances are designed to function during power outages. Contact a local dealer for specific details.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces utilize electricity generated by a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source, which can be house or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Most of our units operate on millivolt or low voltage. Most Wi-Fi thermostats use 24 volts and are not compatible with our systems.
Where can I find my model and serial number
The model and serial number can be found on the rating plate attached to your appliance's valve.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox and an insert
Fireplaces are built into framed openings with specific clearance requirements. Fireboxes serve the same function but require a burner and log set. Inserts are meant for installation into existing wood-burning fireplaces adhering to construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
The rating plate will indicate the serial number. The first two digits signify the year of manufacture, while the next two denote the week of that year the unit was built.
