Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
We advise using a certified professional for installation to avoid any issues that may not be covered under warranty.
Does this product work during a power outage
Yes, most of our appliances are designed to function during power outages. Please consult your local dealer for additional information.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces utilize electricity generated by a standing pilot, whereas electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source, which can include house voltage or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units are built to operate on millivolt or low voltage, making them incompatible with most 24-volt Wi-Fi thermostats.
Where can I find my model and serial number
The rating plate located on the valve of your appliance contains the model and serial number information.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
- Fireplaces are installed into a framed opening with specific clearances.
- Fireboxes require a burner and logs and are installed similarly to fireplaces.
- Inserts are designed for installation within existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
You can determine the age of your unit by locating the rating plate. The first two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture, and the following two digits denote the week of that year.
