Product FAQs
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
It is highly recommended to have a certified professional install all units. Issues arising from improper installation are not covered under warranty.
Does our product work during a power outage
Yes, many of our appliances can be used in a power outage. Please contact a local dealer for additional details.
What is the difference between millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces use electricity generated by a standing pilot to operate. Electronic ignition fireplaces require power to function, which can come from house voltage or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units are designed for operation by millivolt or low voltage. Most Wi-Fi thermostats operate at 24 volts and are incompatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
A rating plate is attached to the appliance valve, which contains the model and serial number.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
Fireplaces are installed within a framed opening with specific clearance requirements. Fireboxes function similarly but require a burner and logs. Inserts are meant to be placed into existing wood-burning fireplaces that adhere to construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
The serial number located on the rating plate will indicate the age. The first two digits denote the year of manufacture and the next two digits indicate the week of that year the unit was constructed.
