Product FAQs
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
It is highly recommended to have all units installed by a certified professional, as warranty coverage does not extend to issues stemming from improper installation.
Does this product work during a power outage
Yes, most appliances are capable of functioning during power outages. Consult a local dealer for more details.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces operate using electricity generated by a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces require an external power source, which can be either house voltage or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units are typically designed for millivolt or low voltage operation. Most Wi-Fi thermostats are not compatible as they operate on 24 volts.
Where can I find my model and serial number
You can find the model and serial number on a rating plate attached to the valve of your appliance.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
- A fireplace is made for installation into a framed opening with specific clearance requirements.
- A firebox is similar but requires a burner and a log set to complete the unit.
- An insert is designed to fit into an existing wood-burning fireplace that adheres to all construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
To determine the age of your unit, refer to the rating plate. The first two digits of the serial number indicate the manufacturing year, while the next two digits denote the week of production.
