FAQs
Can I install a fireplace I bought online myself
It is highly recommended to have a certified professional install all units to avoid issues not covered under warranty.
Does the product work during a power outage
Most of our appliances can be used during a power outage, please consult a local dealer for specifics.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces operate using electricity generated by a standing pilot, while electronic ignition units require a power source that can include both household and battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units typically operate on millivolts or low voltage, making most Wi-Fi thermostats, which use 24 volts, incompatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
You can find the model and serial number on the rating plate attached to the valve of your appliance.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
Fireplaces are designed for installation in framed openings with specified clearances. Fireboxes are similar but require a burner and logs to complete the unit. Inserts are meant for installation in existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
How old is my unit
The serial number on your rating plate indicates the age, with the first two digits representing the year of manufacture and the following two indicating the week of that year.
