Product FAQs
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
It is highly recommended to have a certified professional install all units to avoid voiding the warranty due to improper installation.
Does our product work during a power outage
Yes, most of our appliances can be used during a power outage; consult your local dealer for more details.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces utilize electricity from a standing pilot to operate, while electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source that can be house voltage or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi Thermostat with my unit
Our units are designed to function with millivolts or low voltage; most Wi-Fi thermostats operate on 24 volts and may not be compatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
The model and serial number can be found on a rating plate attached to the valve of your appliance.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
Fireplaces are designed for installation into framed openings with specific clearance requirements.
Fireboxes also require burners and logs to function, while inserts are intended to fit into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
The first two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture and the subsequent two digits show the week of that year when the unit was built.
