Product FAQs
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
We highly recommend hiring a certified professional for the installation of all our units. Warranty does not cover issues arising from improper installation.
Does our product work during a power outage
Yes, most of our appliances are designed to function in a power outage. Consult your local dealer for further details.
What is the difference between Millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces operate using electricity from a standing pilot, whereas electronic ignition fireplaces require power from either house or battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units operate on millivolts or low voltage. Most Wi-Fi thermostats require 24 volts and are therefore not compatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
Locate the rating plate attached to the appliance valve; it contains the model and serial number information.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox, and an insert
- Fireplaces are installed in framed openings with specific clearances to combustibles.
- Fireboxes are like fireplaces but include a burner and log set.
- Inserts fit into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
Check the serial number on your rating plate. The first two digits indicate the year of manufacture and the subsequent two digits denote the week of that year.
