FAQ
Installation Recommendations
We suggest hiring a certified professional for installation to avoid warranty issues due to improper setup.
Power Outage Functionality
Your fireplace can operate during a power outage. For further details, consult a local dealer.
Ignition Types
Millivolt fireplaces operate using electricity from a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source such as house voltage or battery voltage.
Wi-Fi Thermostat Compatibility
Most of our units function using millivolts or low voltage, making them incompatible with standard Wi-Fi thermostats commonly using 24 volts.
Finding Model and Serial Numbers
The rating plate attached to your appliance's valve contains model and serial number information for identification.
Understanding Fireplaces and Inserts
- Fireplaces are installed into framed openings with specific clearance requirements.
- Fireboxes require additional components like a burner and logs.
- Inserts are designed for existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet safety standards.
Determine Age of Unit
The first two digits of the serial number indicate the manufacturing year, while the following two denote the week of production.
