Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy a fireplace online and install it myself
It is recommended to have a certified professional install all our units to avoid warranty issues related to improper installation.
Does our product work during a power outage
Yes, most of our appliances can operate during power outages. Please consult your local dealer for specific details.
What is the difference between millivolt and electronic ignition fireplaces
Millivolt fireplaces utilize electricity generated by a standing pilot, while electronic ignition fireplaces require a power source that can include both household and battery voltage.
Can I use a Wi-Fi thermostat with my unit
Our units are designed to function with millivolt or low voltage. Most Wi-Fi thermostats use 24 volts, which makes them incompatible.
Where can I find my model and serial number
The rating plate attached to the appliance's valve contains the model and serial number.
What is the difference between a fireplace, a firebox and an insert
- Fireplaces are built into framed openings with specific clearance requirements.
- Fireboxes share installation criteria with fireplaces but require a burner and logs to complete the setup.
- Inserts are designed to fit into existing wood-burning fireplaces that meet construction standards.
Can you tell me how old my unit is
The serial number on your rating plate will indicate the age. The first two digits represent the manufacturing year, while the following two digits indicate the week it was built.
